Plants grow on vertical limestone cliffs in a tropical mountain cloud
forest.

2700 m. This species is flowering not only from the winter rosette but
also out of the summer rosettes.

of 8 cm in diameter.

are densely clothed in long white hair at the base of the leaf blade
(lamina) towards the leaf stem (petiole).

the end of the tube there is a green subcylindrical spur
that forms an obtuse angle with the tube.
