Santa Clara. Only few locations are known until date
where P. jackii
has been found at elevations between 600 and 800 m above
sea level (red area is indicating the probable
distribution area).

plants can reach a diameter between 6 and 10 cm.

upturned for the outermost two third of the leaf.

stipitate glands on the upper surface of the leaves
producing a mucilage like liquid to catch prey.

Front
view
of a flower of P. jackii (in culture). Typical
for this species are the blue or blue-violet petals of
the flower. The petals of the upper lip are normally a
little les wider compared to the petals of the lower
lip. On the inner surface of the tube there are parallel
running violet veins.

entrance of the campanulate corolla tube is densely
clothed in white hairs.

of a flower of P. jackii (in culture). Not only
on the inside but also on the outer surface of the white
corolla tube there are violet, parallel running
veins visible. The spur has a white colour in the upper
part starting from the tube, then gets more light green
towards the obtuse tip. The outside of the spur is only
sporadically covered with stipitate glandular hairs.
